Jonathan is the Communications Director for Public Education Partners and brings over 15 years of marketing experience to PEP.
He enjoys helping organizations effectively reach different publics, and is responsible for connecting PEP to constitutes, educators, donors, parents and media through various communication channels. Whether through marketing strategy development, press conferences, compelling copy or social media, his goal is to increase visibility and awareness.
Jonathan has a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education English from Clemson University and a master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of South Carolina.
Prior to joining PEP in April 2017, Jonathan provided marketing services to a variety of different industries including 5 years in manufacturing, maintenance and construction and 8 years in music, events and entertainment. He also worked with USC student media and in radio.
Jonathan and his wife Julie are constantly fighting insanity while trying to find new ways to entertain their four children, Alyssa, Eli, Nathan and Natalie. While not watching Frozen or moderating arguments over Minecraft they enjoy attending their children’s sporting and musical events, watching Chicago Bears and Clemson Tigers football, listening to 80s music and traveling.
