Hiring: Community Organizer

The Community Organizer will play the critical role of conducting outreach and ensuring that the community has both the knowledge and tools it needs to advocate for stronger, more equitable public schools.

The Organizer, supported by PEP’s Policy and Advocacy Director, will serve as a convener of local community organizations, citizens, faith-based organizations, school groups (including School Improvement Councils, PTAs, etc.), and teachers and administrators to form a local education coalition. The Organizer and coalition will inform and support PEP’s 2020 – 2021 state and local policy work.

This is a grant-funded, full-time position with an annual salary of $40,000, an anticipated start date of August 2019, and is funded until August 2021.
